Germany – Paris?

When you are in Europe, it’s easier to reach other countries. A train ticket (thank you kiwi!) and we were in Paris! Yes, Paris – France. Easy uh?

First, we arrived to Karlsruhe Hbf in the same way we did yesterday, but the difference was which train we took. In this case we took a TGV, operated by SNCF. After 3 hours of travel, we arrived to Gare de l’Est, a big train station. From this station, we had to take the Paris Métro to arrive to our hotel, close to Anvers station and with a nice view (good selection Kiwi!). Our view was wonderful, Basilique du Sacré-Cœur:

The hotel was in a corner, in the other corner we also found a nice view:

Being so close, we walked uphill to Sacré-Cœur. It wasn’t an easy walk, a lot of steps and a steep slope:

But the effort was worth it:

From here, you can see the whole city:

To go down exists a funicular (Funiculaire de MontMartre), but we preferred use the steps. Why? Because cost the same as the Paris Mètro, too much expensive for this really short distance and also is better do some exercise enjoying the view.
