If there's a problem with Nokia N95, it's battery. I have a BL-6F and I should charge it every 2 days. That means if I use all functionalities, I’ll run out of battery soon. Bored about that, I bought another battery with a charging base, so now I can charge the empty battery while using mobile normally. Now I’m not worried about need to take pictures and don’t have battery for that.
My happiness didn’t last long. Talking with a friend, she told me that buy an extra battery isn’t a good choice because it’s a problem try to throw it away later. I already bought it. I still don’t find a good way to shed my old batteries.
Sometimes we aren’t conscious about our decisions and our commitment with ecology, trying to stop global warming and pollution. We learn every day another way to save the planet, so follow the advice: don't buy another battery, just use your only one wisely.
In the middle of this story, I bought another thing: a solar panel. That let me charge the battery using solar power. It’s not perfect, but now I can charge the battery and also has a battery inside. And in addition, can work with other mobiles, mp3 players, etc. I’m looking other uses.
Find a way to get rid of my batteries is in my personal checklist.

I like the way you are worried about throwing your batteries away properly. We have collectors boxes for that stuff, special waste bins for batteries.
But still I think too many people throw them in normal rubbish...
You're on a good way! =)
